The question worth a 1000 words. Absolutely you can book directly with hosts! In fact, we as host prefer it!  You see, hosts like myself pride ourselves on doing a good job for our guests. We want you to enjoy your stay with us; we enjoying being helpful. It's called hospitality and this is what we pride ourselves on. If you enjoy your stay with us, we've done a good job and naturally if you can you will come back or send us a recommendation.

Unfortunately, Airbnb has put the fear of gawd in both guests and hosts alike. They claim its risky and potentially dangerous for use to communicate with each other without their oversight. Do I blame them, no but I know better. There is risk with any transaction be it from guest to host or guest to Airbnb to host. This fact continue to rear it's head over and over again on Twitter and on Reddit if you check. The fact is as hosts we find ourselves at the mercy of the draconian policies of Airbnb.
